Pray for resilience, peace, comfort, and healing to the world in the difficult conditions
On April 14th, 2020, in Rwanda, the first case of the Coronavirus epidemic occurred. This occurred after this epidemic occurred in many countries from all continents of the world– nearly all at the same time – Coronavirus occurs in more than a half country of the globe. This epidemic which is also infectious diseases occurs so fast and affects the individuals, families, societies or communities, nations and the world. Its consequences include physiological, psychological, social and emotional.
The wider Pueri Cantores community in Rwanda has teamed up with all countries that have already contracted the coronavirus epidemic to pray for more and more countries that have not yet reached out to God to continue to protect them from the plague. Apparently this epidemic is having a huge impact on human health; there are people who are anxious, those who are depressed, those who have a plan, those who are discouraged from working, a good relationship that has diminished, a culture that in some countries has also started to be affected, others are ashamed to be isolated. In countries such as Rwanda, measures are being taken to continue to strive for cleanliness, care for the infected, to avoid going to crowded places,... People are losing their peace of mind and caring is declining due to the tragedy. It is in this context that Pueri Cantores joins Rwanda and the people of the world in praying for the world for the Coronavirus to be defeated and eradicated from God’s creatures. According to St. Dominic Savio we pray for peace, peace, tranquillity, and healing from the wounds of the plague. Through our praying for peace, we wish you to live in peace and patience through the love God has given us.
As we prevent and protect others from this epidemic of Coronavirus, we comfort families who have lost loved ones due to Coronavirus and pray for those who are infected to recover from it. We keep praying for everyone the recovery and resilience in Rwanda and throughout the world. We, Pueri Cantores, pray and sing together for the world to get peace and protection from God.
In the Holy Bible Isaiah (Isaiah 22, 19-23) reminds us of the words of Jesus “Fear not, for I am with you always, and nothing will take you out of your hands.” So, Jesus has a strong relationship with His people. He is the one who walks in front of them and seeks them out with tender grass and puts them in the wells of warm water, protecting them from the drought and spiritual starvation. So being led by such a pastor gives you nothing but peace and the feeling that you are no longer disturbed. His sheep follow him with no compensation, no shouting, and no angry stomach because what is interesting is to watch the shepherd take steps to imitate him. We have to believe in Him for what has brought him is to keep his sheep alive and well.
Merciful Jesus, let us believe, let us put ourselves in the well of boiling water and let Him heal us, heal us when we are in trouble. He tells us, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you and a good shepherd." That is the hope, that is the good news that Jesus brought to us.
Almighty God, we bless you for our lives, we give you praise for your abundant mercy and grace we receive. We thank you for your faithfulness even though we are not that faithful to you. Lord Jesus, we ask you to give us all around peace in our mind, body, soul, and spirit. We want you to heal and remove everything that is causing stress, grief, and sorrow in our lives particularly Coronavirus and its effects on your creatures. Please guide our path through life and make our enemies be at peace with us. Let your peace reign in our family, nation and throughout the world in particular at our place of work, businesses and everything we lay our hands-on. Let your angels of peace go ahead of us when we go out and stay by our side when we return. In Jesus' name. Amen.
